Okish. Consider other earphones

After reading the reviews of moondrop chu 2 i have purchased this phone chu2 dsp as I wanted type c plus microphone. But it was an mistake. Built quality is good. Sound quality is like when you go fish market "noisyyy" its so irritating that i cant event liten 3 songs continuously. However as per headphone zone i have to burn the earphones before using them so i did. It improved but not to the extent that its enjoyable.

1 star for earphones
1 star for headphone zone as per the service and policy was good but still it can be improved .

Over all 2 star

Why so less rating?
Because now i am stuck with the earphone and cant return them because of the poor sound quality.

My only request from headphonezone is please mention the details more clearly and have reviews for all products. Also compare with some mainstream earphones or headphones to get the clear idea how this will be better than the other or vice versa

Nothing crazy ...

I think bl03 is far superior in audio performance.

Expectation doesn't met

I expected this to be a neutral sounding iem. But it's definitely not the case. It is more biased towards v shaped sound signature. More emphasis on bass and treble. But there is enough sound separation. Now I can listen to the same music that I used to listen, with some extra sounds which were always there but hidden. Build quality is top notch. Earbuds are heavier than usual. Long wearing cause slight discomfort, but manageable. Still don't know how to use the DSP functionality. Price is slightly high I think. One thing to specifically mention to Headphonezone team. Please mention the correct details. V shape and neutral are two different sound profiles. I have done my own research about headphones and found that "burn-in" is a myth and it doesn't make a large difference to the overall sound. So why it is mentioned in your mail regarding my purchase. Hope your reply will be convincing. Anyway it's a good iem. I like it. But I won't recommend it to everyone. My old audiotechnica clr100 is always my reference. Chu2 is having better detailing, but not good as expected. I'm not going to return it. I already said I like it.

Clean and Sharp sound

I have used sound magic e10c , at first I wasn't able to tell very much difference but after 10-15 min usage the sound was much clearer than e10c and sharper. Overall it's a great iem .
Edit - mic quality is not good on these iem .

Hey there, thanks a lot for your amazing review!

Decent Clarity, No depth .Can consider other TWS/ earphones

History:
This is my second IEM from the website the first being Tanchjim Tanya (which I liked the sound stage better than Moondrop Chu II)
Sound:
Those TTs served well for several month until the mic stopped working and then one side of the ear also stopped. These Moondrop Chu II have a clear sound but I'm not getting noticable sense of depth while listening to Songs. Microphone volume is low / glitchy as expected from Chi-Fi companies. BUT I'm giving it a decent three star rating because the purpose of this piece was for me to listen to audio on my phone and it does that job perfectly. The Moondrop Link app is useful to change EQ
Comfort:
Despite the actual piece fitting perfectly the cable itself gives a very flimsy vibe ( I might be underestimating it's durability ). This in turn makes me hesitant to use them more often as I keep worrying they'll break. Apart from that subjective feeling no actual issues yet.
I would have rated it higher if the default EQ matched my preferences or if they had good profiles on the Moondrop Link App.
My preference is a Balanced, warm sound that doesn't sound metallic and some depth in different instrumentations.
The Depth improves a bit when you turn up the volume to very high levels but I wouldn't recommend as it is harmful to ears. Ofcourse I haven't tried these with a Dac as the reason I got the type C version is my dac stopped working.
PS. Photo is there as proof, didn't feel like doing a proper photoshoot. And again nothing wrong with the website! Chi-Fi IEMs are overhyped so be careful
