This hum can disrupt your music listening experience, and that's where the iFi Audio DC Blocker + steps in to solve the problem. When you position the DC Blocker + at the rear power inlet (IEC), it effectively lives up to its name by preventing DC voltage from entering the audio mains. Its purpose is to eliminate transformer hum from a wide range of amplifiers. To achieve optimal results, it is recommended to use the DC Blocker + with a single, direct power cable connection. Importantly, note that the DC Blocker does not compromise the EMI shielding or safety of any equipment. The iFi Audio DC Blocker + is intelligently engineered to block over 1,000mV DC, effectively eradicating transformer hum. This latest version of the DC Blocker + is designed to accommodate higher-power equipment (Continuous current rating: 10A) and offers global compatibility, supporting voltage inputs ranging from 90 to 250V.
